Thursday Session 3
Abstract
This presentation presents an examination of the effectiveness of an intensive
vocabulary program with 25-30 high school students. Pre and post-treatment data are
presented for high school students attending either an inclusion or resource English
class. Results revealed significant increases in reading and vocabulary following one to
four years of treatment. The speaker will share how this evidence-based research program is an effective student impact growth artifact for future Merit Pay submissions by school-based speech-language pathologists.
